If you have been missing singing in the past year, found yourself singing out loud in the house, or always wanted to join a choir, now is your chance to become involved with our dynamic, creative group. No choir experience is necessary.
The PCS Singers, Brampton is a non-auditioned choir. Reading music is a welcomed asset! Peel choristers rehearse every Monday evening at Emmanuel United Church, (420 Balmoral Drive, Brampton, Ontario) from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Our performing year is September thru May. The choir takes a break for the months of December, June, July and August.
The choir performs two concerts per year in addition to local community and fund-raising events. Choristers may be requested to attend a few extra rehearsals prior to a concert.

What sort of music does the choir perform?
PCS Singers Brampton perform a Seasonal Concert which includes popular holiday songs and carols. Our Spring Concert typically includes a wide spectrum of music from Broadway musicals, the American Songbook, and choral arrangements of familiar popular music.
Do I need previous experience to sing with the choir?
No prior choir experience is required.
Is there an age limit to join the choir?
We welcome all singers 14 years of age and up.
Do I need to be able to read music?
No, however the ability to follow along with the words and sing with the group is most helpful.
How will I learn the music for the concerts if I don’t read music?
We provide audio recording of rehearsals for self study at home.
When and where are rehearsals?
Rehearsals are held Monday evenings, starting September through the first week of June, at Emmanuel United Church, (420 Balmoral Drive, Brampton, Ontario) from 7:00pm to 9:30pm.
Are there singer fees?
Yes. Fees for the season are $280 for the full year and can be paid in two installments.
There is also a refundable music deposit of $25 for each singer.
Do I need to purchase any music?
No. Singers are provided the music for each season, to be returned after concert performances.
Is there a concert dress code?
Yes.
The dress code for ticketed performances is:
Women: Tops depending on the performance (i.e. red for the Seasonal concert), black bottom (long pants or full-length black skirt), black shoes.
Men: Tuxedo, black bow tie, black shoes.
Can I sit in on a rehearsal before joining the choir?
Yes. We hold an open house at the beginning of each season, however new singers are welcome to join us at the beginning of each choir term.
