Come Sing With Us!
If you love singing—whether you have performed with choirs before or mostly sing at home—we would be delighted to welcome you.
PCS Singers Brampton is a non-auditioned community choir, and no previous choir experience is required. Reading music is helpful, but it is not necessary. We work together as a team to get you there!
Rehearsals are held every Monday from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Emmanuel United Church, 420 Balmoral Drive, Brampton. Our season runs from September through May, with a break in December and during the summer months.
The choir presents two main concerts each year and also performs at community and fundraising events throughout Brampton. A few additional rehearsals may be scheduled as concert dates approach..

Do I have to audition to join PCS Singers Brampton?
No! We welcome everyone regardless of experience level. You just have to be prepared to learn!
Do I need previous experience to sing with the choir?
No prior choir experience is required.
Is there an age limit to join the choir?
We welcome all singers 16 years of age and up, youths 13-15 may be accepted if parent is also a member and accompanies.
I can’t read music, and I’m nervous about that.
That’s okay, we’ll help you learn!
How will I learn the music for the concerts if I don’t read music?
We provide audio recording of rehearsals for self study at home.
When and where are rehearsals?
Rehearsals are held Monday evenings, starting September through the first week of June, at Emmanuel United Church, (420 Balmoral Drive, Brampton, Ontario) from 7:00pm to 9:30pm.
Is there a cost to join?
Yes. Fees for the season cover rentals, insurance, music, music folders, etc. Fees for the season are $280 for the full year and can be paid in two installments.
There is also a refundable music deposit of $25 for each singer.
Do I have to live in Brampton to join?
No we welcome you from all over the GTA.
Can I sit in on a rehearsal before joining the choir?
Absolutely! Come for the first open house in September, or later on in the Spring Session (usually February) to come out to meet us.

What sort of music does the choir perform?
Our Seasonal Concert includes popular holiday songs and carols, featuring new music & of course, all your seasonal favourites.
Our Spring Concert typically includes a wide spectrum of music from Broadway musicals, the American Songbook, and choral arrangements of familiar popular music.
Is there a concert dress code?
Often times we dress for the theme, which is a lot of fun. But standard dress items for concerts include:
Women: Tops depending on the performance (i.e. red for the Seasonal concert), black bottom (long pants or full-length black skirt), black shoes.
Men: Tuxedo, black bow tie, black shoes
